THE MASONIC AMALGAMATION. Melbourne, February 7.
The leading Freemasons of Victoria have received a communication from Sydney that the dissension which has existed for the last ten years between the Now South Wales Constitution on the one hand, and the English, liish, and Scotch on the other, is now healed by the good offices of Lords Carnarvon and Carrington, The four Constitutionsare to beimmediately amalgamated with Lord Carrington as first Grand Master of tho amalgamated body, Dr. Tarraiit, Grand Master of the New South Wales Constitution, having resigned to pave the way for this arrangement. Lord Carnarvon, as Provincial Grand Master of the English Constitution, gives his assurance that the English Grand Lodge will immediately grant the amalgamation and a meeting to ratify the agreement has been called.
