SHAFTESBURY

Ox Tuesday the 31st wit., a successful concert was given at the schoolroom in aid of the church fund of the district. The chair was taken by the Kcv. James Marshall ; and in spite ol the unseasonable weather there was a good attendance, upwards of £5 being loalised. Not the least noteworthy feature of the entertainment was tho violin-playing of M aster liai old King, aged eight years, son of the Rev. T. F. King ot iSt John' College.
