The Panama Canal.
The Canal Company has arranged with the Credit Lyonnais to provide the enterprise funds untii the issue of new obligations. The London "Standard's" correspondent, writing from Paris, December 29th, says: — "In an interview to-day with Senior Matues, the Colombian Minister, he declared that neither by threat nor cajolery would his Government bo»induced to allow America to have anything to do with the Panama Canal, even if De Le3&eps failed to complete the work. They would rather do without the canal than see America complete it."
