MINING NEWS. Sale of Wailii mines.
Auckland, February 9. A private telegram' received b9re states that the £11,000 obtained for the Rosemonfc property which is included in Waihi Goldmimng- Company's mine recently floated in London, w now available for distribution. The shareholders are :— Messrs P. Hanson, J. F. Clark, C. Alexauder, H. Shepherd and Blooavfield, each of whom holds ©ne-fifth.
Taeiwm,, February 9 Wahii.— Mr Seymour Tt-ocne George ar> riTed here fco-day for the purpose of arranging preliminaries for 'tne starting- of immediate operations on the Waihi Goldminiug Company's ground. The first work to be started is the construction of a water race, which will take about 25,000 feet of timber for fiumin^ alone.
