by a small triangular punch. In figure 1 is shown the ears marked to denote the highest number that can be indicated, i.e., 432. Figure 2 shows how to indicate the number 2^5. This system of marking is found useful in stud ilooks, as a sure means of identification which is lasting and easily discernible.
