Attempt to Poison an English Regiment in India.

A correspondent se^ds the following information to the 'lndian Railway Service Gazette' :— Very considerable excitement has been aroused at Agra owing to an at- [ tempt that has been made to . poison the Manchester Regiment stationed there. It seems that some seventy, men belonging to this regiment, shortly after visiting the j canteen, were seized with violent attacks of vomitting, which created a suspicion that something was wrong with the beer. .The beer on tap was accordingly examined, when it was found to contain arsenic.
