London, January 4. ■It is rumoured that' iL Russia recognises the annexation of Alsace and Lorraine, Germany will arrange an Austro-liussian agreement respecting Bulgaria. It is also reported that the valuables in the Imperial chateaux in Poland havo been removed to the interior.
St. Petebsbubo, January 3. The " Moscow Gazette" complains of the paucity of Russian warships in the Eastern Paciiic.
Vienxa, January 3. The official feeling here has suddenly become confident of peace, the .Russian military attache declaiing that the Czar is absolutely opposed to war.
Bjsrlix, January 2. At the reception held by the Emperor of Germany to-day there was a large attendance of diplomatists and officials. iSIo political allusions were made; but the Emperor, in conversing with his principal officers, expressed satisfaction ab the improved situation.
