TE AROHA THERMAL SPRINGS.
We heg to ackno .vledge receipt of a little handbook of thirty four pages entitled "To Aroha: Its Thermal Mineral Water*, By Dr. Alfred Wright " ; just published by the Te Aroha Domain Board. The opening pages are devoted to giving information* of a geneial and practical character with re«ppet to the very exceptional advantages Te Aruha possesses, as regards position, accessibility, and^ generally both as a health resort fur invalids and also for those on holiday pleasures bent. Boating m the Waihou river, picnic parties to the places of interest within easy distance, the bewties of the bush and mountain scenery, visits to the mines both at Te Aroha and Waiorongomni (and might have been added, also to the splendid quartz reduction and roasting plant, the property of the Battery Company, Waiorongomai, in which electricity alone is now used for lighting purposes) the tennis court in the Domain, and tho magnificent viewobtainable of the East coast, and over hundreds of miles of country from the top of To Aroha mountain, which rises to a height of 3,200 feet, are all referred to. Much useful information respecting the baths and mineral waters are given, including full analysis of the waters, both by Mr J. A. Pond, Provincial Analyst, and also by Sir James Hector, Government Analyst.
