Prospecting operations on the Munnioth mine were commenced oii Monday last under the supervision of Mr W. Littlejohn, and tenders have been called for u supply of timber for tunnelling purposes. Tliib work is being" curled out at the instance of a syndicate of Ena:lM» capitalists who have subscribed £5,000 which is to he spent in developenient*, and if the results are satisfactory they will then compi'te the purchase of the property in accordance with tho terms of agreement. Tenders for repairs to the dam bolonging to Railey'a mill hayo been called for by Mr Alfred Price, of Price HroH., Thames, who, in conjunction with Mr Thomas Morrin, Auckland, purchased the whole plant recently. Clements and party, owners of tho Irnpeiiul mine, finished up a four ton crushing «t tho Ivanhoe battery this woek, but the results have not yet been mudo public,
