DurinQ the week a series of confirm ntion services presided over by the DMiop of Auckland, took place in this distrirt. The first service was held in the Paeroa Public ll.ill, on lust Monday evening, when eight girls and four boys were continued ; and at Ovvharou on the following Tuesday, sixteen oandidtes presented themselves for confirmation which was duly performed. His Lordship the Bishop was assisted throughout by the Rev. Mr Kiitterns, who resides at K.iti Kati, and who visits this place very frequently in connection with the Church of England section of tho community. The crops about here this year are looking remarkably well, and there is every piospoct of au abundant harvest.
