The Marquis of Aylosbury lias submitted the Jockey Club's decision ruling him off j.ho turf for unfair practices to the Attor-ney-General, and, acting on the latter's opinion, instructed the lawyers of the Chancery Court to apply for an injunction suspending the notice warning him off English racecourses, as a preliminary to further action against the stewards of the Club. The defence of the Marquis is that he did not direct his jockey, Jacky Martin, to pull his horse. He will bring evidence to prove that Martin's evidence is false. Albert Edward Sassoon and Alice de Rothschild were married at the synagogue on the Rue Victoire, in Paris, October 19th. The wedding was a brilliant affair. Four housand invitations were issued. Serious riots occurred at Gibraltar on Oct. 17th between Irish and English soldiers. Many riotera have been injured and several arrests have been made. The streets have been guarded by patrols. Lord Cairns has entered into a marriage engagement with a woman named Olive Bereno.
