Improvements in Circular Quay.

The Government have decided to carry out some important alterations at the Circular Quay, with the view of providing increased facilities and better accommodation for shipping. It is proposed to lengthen the wharf occupied by the Messageries Maritime^, which at present is 490 ft. long, by about 40ft., and to construct an entirely new wharf for the use of the P. and 0. steamers. This wharf will be 540 ft. in length. The Government have decided to erect new Law Courts on the site opposite St. Mary's Cathedral, at present occupied by the offices of the Colonial Architect.
