Mr J. H. Want's 40-ton centre-board yacht was successfully launched from the yard of Mr Dunn, Careening Cove, Neutral Hay, on Monday, in the presence of s number of aquatic and yachting men. She was ehiistened the Miranda. The fallowing is a fchort debCiiption of the vacLt: — The piincipal dimensions of the Miranda are 75ft fiom one end of her hVurs-head to the counter end. 58ft on the viater-Kaie, and 13ft. 6in. in the greatest beam : she vc'ill with a full complement of balasfc, draw Oft. 9in. of water under thehcel of the sternpost. She is very strongly built. In ap~ i ])earance the Miranda is \ery like the picttues of the American yacht Volunteer, having a lonpr, rakish, ovevhanping bow, finished off with a graceful bit of carving.
