The Khedive's Wife.

A ©grman" lady who x-ecently was admitted into the presence of the Khedive's wife describes her in the- Vienna " Neuo Freio Presse " as follows: — "She is still young 1 afc most twenty-four to twenty-six years old, and has an extremely charming face. Her whole appearance would bo bewitching were she not an Oriental, and therefore, young as she is, already too stout to be perfectly beautiful, according to European notions. She has large dark eyes, and long heavy eyelashes, a dazzling complexion — to which art has contributed nothing— and the loveliest little mouth and tooth. Her neck and arms, as well as her small fat hands, glittered with diamonds, and her dark, fashionably-arranged hair was encircled with wreaths of precious atones, and yet somehow her toilet seomed, not overladen. On the left side of her white surah dress, whose long trail was completely covered with rich lace, she wove a bx'oche of fresh oi-ange leaves and wjhifce roses, and below it a miniature of the Khedivo set in diamonds ; on a little table lay her golden tabatiere with the signature of Abdul Aziz in diamonds and a large fly-flap of ostrich feathers, whosie handle glittered and sparkled with the slightest motion."
