KARANGAHAKE.
A general cleaning np for the Dubbo mine pventuated at Ruiley's mill on Saturday last for a return of 131 oz. 4 dwta. melted bullion ; being the product of 12 tons of crushing dirt. Upon being assayed by Mr Rhodes, Bank of New Zealand, Paeroa, this realised £144 4s, which is an all round result of slightly over £12 per ton. Heiteman and party, tributcrs in the Woodstock mine, cleaned up a 20 ton parcel cf crushing dirt at tho Ivan hoe battery jn Monday last, for a return of. 31 0?. 17 dwts. melted bullion, woi'th about 48s. per ounce. There are several parcels of quartz now en route for treatment at Bailey's mill, but the road leading thereto is in such a very bad condition that the work of transit is being carried out with considerable difficulty.
