A NEW CRUISER.
The Latest Addition to the Navy.
An impoitant addition was made to the active list of the royal navy on July 2nd by the completion for sea at Sheerness of the new fust cruiser, Mohawk, which has been builfc at a cost of £100,000. Tho Mohawk is the Hi ft of .1 new type. She is armed with bix-inoh breech-loading guns and seven fifteen -inch tubes discharging Whitehead torpedoes.
Mark Twain makes an annual income of £1,000 ovoralory-inties on eleven books.
