RUNNING A-MUCK. A Sepoy Kills Eleven Men and Commits Suicide.
A shocking tragedy occured nfc Knrrackeo on the 20th of May. A Sepoy of the Twenthsixth Native Infantry, ha.\ ing got po.-> c e-sion of some ammunition, ran a-muck through the lines at 1 o'clock in the morning. Ho 6rst fehot two Sepoys who were asleep m tin* barracks verandah. The alarm was sounded and the regiment turned out, but nothing could be done till daylight, when detachments were sent in various direction-- to seaich for him. Meanwhile the murderer proceeded to the Soldiers' bazaar and '-hot four shopkeepers who were sleeping outndo their houses. He then went to the plain behind the infantry lines and shot four carfcmen. When ho found that the regiment had turned out he took refuge in a stone inclosure, where ho fired many rounds.. The colonel called for volunteers to ru.sh upon him and two Sepoys responded. When they got within six j r ards of him he >hot himself thiough the heart. The eleven men whom lie had shot were killed on the or died in a few hours.
