General Boulanger. WHY HE HAS BEEN ORDERED AWAY FROM PARIS.
Paris newspapers assert that General Boulanger was unaw arc of the Government's intention to appoint him to the command of the Thirteenth Army Corps until lie saw the announcement of the actual appointment in the press. The statement is reiterated that the appointment was made for the express purpose of getting Boulangor away from Paris during the national fetes and review in July, lest his presence tempt the people into demonstrations in his favour and against Germany. The police have confiscated the entire issue of a picture representing Boulanger as the " Saviour of France," prepared for distribution during the fetes.
