Ghastly Relics at Washington.
Beside the pistol there is still retained the buliet which penetrated Lincoln's brain, as well as portions of the skull which was fractured in the vicinity of the wound, the dagger which Booth flourished on the stage as he shouted "sex semper tyrannis,"and the saddle on which he rode when he mado his escape. The lai'ge bullet is flattened somewhat by reason of the resistanco it encountered in penetrating the skull of the President, and on one side, almost indistinct, may, still be seen the letters "A.L.," which were marked for its identification at the time of the trial of Mrs Surratt, Puyne, Hartild and Atzerbodt. The chippings from the skull are preserved in a - small circular case like a button, an inch and a half in diameter, a small glass like a watch crystal permitting a view of the pieces of bone without danger of their being lost. The dagger is a two-edged affair with a deer's horn handle and blade about as long as one's hand. A leather case' much worn and broken at one end usually covers the weapon. It was with this dagger that Booth turned upon Col. Rathbcme, whose tragic end in Germany was chronicled a few months ago, when the latter tried to seize the murderer and prevent him from escaping.—" Cleveland Leader."
