THE SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP. Wellington, July 14.
Tun challenge issued by fleam to row any man in New Zealand for fcho Championship, with a view to proving who is entitled to represent this colony at the approaching rowing carnival in Sydney, is not likely to remain long unanswered. In fact, a sculler i« at the present moment in Wellington for the express purpose of making a match. His name is Colliu Harwood, and although he has been a resident in the colony (at llanks's Peninsula) for about nine months, he has not yet, as far as I have been able to ascertain, taken part in any of our aquatic contests. He admits, however, that he ha*> rowed in the Old Country, and if appearances go for anything, he ought to be a good man in a boat.
