CHINESE RESURRECTIONISTS Alleged Illegal Disinterment.

Tin: Corporation and police authoritie s ascertained this morning that the body of a Chinaman was exhumed moie than a week ago irom one of the cemeteries, and ha" lain c\ er since on the premises of an undoi laker in a thickly-populated part of the city. The object ot dMnterment was to send the remains to Flowery land at the end of the month, h) the s.~>. Woofeang, but no authority for the removal ot the body was obtained fiom the Colonial Secretaiy a-> lequired by law. The grave was opened at night, and the coffin placed in a case, taken to the undertake! *s establishment, and sealed up. The lesidents in the neighbourhood naturally complained a^ soon as they ascertained what had been done. Arrangements have been made for placing the body in the morgue, to await shipment, and proceedings will be taken against the undertaker.
