When times arc hard and the income sin.ill, And no longer the feast is spread, And jound about you tlio shadows fall, That mark how the day has sped ; When out of your grasp slips nuny a joy, And sweetest of dreams depart, And yon lose your hold of treasures untold, Oh, don't lobe heait. Though tienbles comes like a demon crew Your little craft to o'erwhelm, Though worn and spent with the daily Let faith stand firm at the helm ; Awl though dark the sky and cold the breeze, Still bnvely perform your part, For you'll stem the tide and in safety lide, If you don't lose heart.
