WHOLESALE POISON ING AT A WEDDING.
Ok Friday afteKispon Dr. Khowfes, of Inv«rell received a tolegram from Mr R. White, Kangaroo. Camp, asking him. to proceed there immediately, and stating that ; a number oJi people had been poisoned. He at once went out aacl fomid 18 persons ill,, some seriously. He learned that a marriage had taken place that mprning, at which a large number of guests were present, nearly all of whom, took ttia*. The tea was served about 9 o'clock, and two hours afterwards t&e< guests were taken ill, The doctor was )i\ attendance all niohfc and gave the srcifferors medicine. By Saturday mcffiiingmany had recovered, though others remained ill, but not dangerously. The tea has since been examined and slight traces of arsenic have been found. Tho police, aw now making inquiries, but nothing further has been gieemcd as yet.
