THE MINES.
Several tenders were received by the Battery manager on Saturday last, for breaking out 1000 county trucks of quaitjs fiotn the New Find mine, ranging fioin 15s lid to 20a, but the price being doomed too high, no tender was accepted. For driving 100 ft in the same mine, (Arizona level, towards Canadian boundary) the tender of Redwood and party, at 32s Gil per foot, was accepted ; tenders ranged up to £2 ss. The battery is now eng.iged as follows : 30 stampers for New Find mine, 5 May Queen, 5 Silver King. The whole of the berdans aro engaged by the .Battery Company.
