WAIORONGOMAI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The usual monthly meeting of the above took place in the School- room on Saturday. May 7th, at 8 p.m. There were present : Messrs Baskett (chair), McGarvie, H. Goldswortby, McLeodj Cronin, Hirst, and Beeson. Minutes of last meeting wee read and confirmed. Teacher's Report.— The teacher reported that for the month ending April 30th the number on the roll was 85, and the average attendance bdA, or omitting one very wet day, 6 1 . The report contained a list of those who attended irregularly, and asked the assistance of the corrmittee in regard to keeping up a good average. The head teacher wrote requesting that the report on the last examination mighc be returned to the Board for amendment. Resolved, that the matter be deferred until the following Saturday evening, and that a special meeting of the Committee be then held, and all correspondence relating thereto be then laid on the table. The matter of flooring the shed and making it otherwise comfortable, so that the children could eat tluir lunch therein during bad weather, was freely discussed, the Secretary was requested to supply a list of timber required, and the Committee agreed to carry out the work themselves. The meeting then adjourned until Saturday, the 14th inst., at 7 p.m.— (Supplied.)
