' And we think of tho fair, sunny island Where the dust of our dar ing lies, And the sands and the blue waters glisten In the sheen of the Southern skicH. With our ln-arl g full of hope for the future O'or the beautiful scen<*s we trod, Till the summons came down from the Father* And our miy; 1 went back to God. *s wo gaze on the homo of t r >c sea-birds, <* hen they rid - on the billow's crest., And the shades of tho deepening wilight, Setlte down on the ountain's breast, How we yearn for the forms that have vanished For the friends vihci have passed away !
