Sydney, April 28. The thirty-eighth annual meeting of the members of .the Mutual Provident Society was held yesterday. The annual leport was adopted wLh unimportant alterations. A discussion took place on the subject of the pension of the retiring secretary. It was decided to adopt the report without however deciding on the motion against the proposed pension. This was not regarded as approval of the same by the meeting, Messrs. King and Mcllhone's motions were withdrawn and will be discussed when the bye-laws come up for consideration on 16th May. The result of the election of directors was to be made known this morning.
