The A. J.C Autumn Meeting.

Sydney, Saturday. The fourth day's racing of the Australian Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting took place at Randwick to-day. Rain fell continuously during the greater part of the afternoon. The Place Handicap, a free handicap sweepstakes of lOsovs each for starters with 300sovs added. One mile and a half. Mr W. Branch's b h Ringmaster, 4yrs, by First King -Yardley 1 Hon. W. Long's eh f Crossfire, 3yrs .. 2 Mr J. Mayo's eh q Stanley, syi\s ... 3 Thirteen horses started. Ringmaster won easily by two lengths. Time, 2min 44sec. Both Nelson and Mitrailleuse were scratched. Australian Jockey Club Plate, of 500sovs. For three - years - olds and upwards. Weight for age. Three miles. Hon. J. White's eh c Trident, 3yrs ... 1 Hon. J. White's br q Volcano, 3yrs ... 2 Mr J. D. Robertsons b f The Nun ... 3 Only three horses started. Trident won hard held. Time, smin. 58sec. Nelson was scratched. The Free Handicap, of loOsovs. with a sweepstakes of lsov. each, to go to the second horse. One mile and a-quarter. Mr J. May o's eh q Stanley I Hon. W. Long's b h Honeydew 2 Mr C. J. Brackenrig's b h Tom Brown 3 Twenty-three horses started. A good finish resulted in Stanley winning by a length. Time, 2min 20sec. Mitrailleuse never showed prominently during the race. The Second Nursery Handicap was won by the Hon. J. White's Perfume, with Moorhouse second, and Branchiopeda third. Marmion appropriated the Steeplechase, and Invader got home first in the Rows Handicap, Blairgowrie being second, and Shark third.
