MORRINSVILLE [OWN CORRESPONDENT.)

A very enjoyable dance took place in the Morrinsville schoolroom, on Friday, 15inst. Dancing commenced shortly after eight o'clock, and was kept up with great spirit until between four and in the morning. There were as many couples on the floor doing the light fantastic as it could be comfortably acco nmodated, and it must have given t" 3 committee great pleasure to see their invitations so freely responded to. There could not have been less than fifty persons present. Refresh* -ents were handed round by members of the committee who were very assidiooa V rou-f - out in studying the com'ort of the'r guests. Not being acquainted with the names and style of the various dresses worn by the ladies on the occasion, I fear a description on my part would scarcely convey a correct idea of the lovely scene presented to those w" 0 understand these things, as for the belle of the evening, I would not for the life of me venture an opinion, and will L that matter for the lad' s to decide. The musio was provided \y Messis Greenwood and Johnston who gave the greatest satisfaction. The arrangements in every detail were all that could be desired, and drew forth the praises of all present. Several songs were well rendered daring the proceedings.
