FAIRY PALACES.
All the day my heart is longing For the twilight's bitching hours; Then ir is that, tall and stately, Softly rise my fairy towers. In the silence of the gloaming . Grow these castles wondrous fair, No eyes but mine can see them, Fairy palaces of air ! Shed o'er a'l th se airy visions Is the golden light of hope ; Each desire here disappointed Hath a moment its lull scope. Fervent w ishes. that I cherish Deep withiu my breast, are there, Tlierc'ave crow ned with rare completeness. In these palaces of air ! Wlien the glaring lamps arc lighted, When returns the dazzling, day, Vanish all these globing visions, Fading blowiy quite away. Only in the hour of twilight, Only in the gloaming fair, Ilhe in be nut y uncUmhushca Fairy palaces of air.
