The peak of yon lofty mountain Ie ciGtaed with glittering snow, While, forest- shady and leafy Sut round i's base below. How lonely. how oa'm and onniy It mu-t en yox' sumu.it be. Th^rti roaoh no songbhvs voices, Nor sounds of the troubled sea. And thus, on tho oloud-oapp'd Btimmit Gi L^arnicg'a towering mount, There wuvea no umbrageous forest, There plays no cryttal lonxit.
