The prisoner James Ryan found guilty on the previous day of larceny was brought up for sentence. 1 1 is Woiship addiessed piisoner on liis folly, and the displace ho had biought upon himself; but as his emplo) er reported so favourably of his gener.il good conduct and industiy, he was anxious to give him a chance to redeem his character. 110 would reserve judgement till April sth, and allow piisonor to return to his work, he was to letum the balance of the stolen money before then out of his wages. N. B.iskctt v. (5. Mackie. Defendant was chaiged and found guilty of lescuing a horse which w,is being taken to the pound by plaintiff. Fined £1 and co^ts 15s.
