Scrgt Emerson save evidence and deposed to the lircuinstances of the case, followed by his arrest of piisioner, and iinding- the puibo and 7s of the money in his pot-sebsion. Pribono*' pleaded not guilty to both charges, and said the money hud been i>ivon to him, but lef'used to say by whom. His Woibhip said he must regjud the pr'ksoner as convicted of the offences with winch he was charged, but remanded him him for sentence till next d iy.
