It is understood that the rodent negotiations foy the amalgamation of the Yiotoria Sugar Company of Melbourne with the Colonial Sugar Refiuing Company of Sydney have now been completed, and will take effect in July next. The mills in New South Wales, Queensland and Fiji, and the refineries at Yarraville and Pyrmont, will thus pass Into the hands of the new company. The business of the Victoria Sugar Company, which j was founded in 1857, will be continued in Melbourne as heretofore.
