TFUIE following resolution was v adopted JL at a Special Meeting of tlio Piako County Council held nt Hamilton on tho 22nd inst. :— Resolved : "That in accordance with the provisions of ' The Counties Act, 1886,' aid of 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1880,' a Special Rate of One Farthing in the £ be levied, by ( Special Order' uyion all Rateable Property within the'Te Aroha Hiding, exclusive of Crown and Native Lands, such rate to be an annually lecurring rate payable upon the 28th d,iy of March in each year for twenty-six years, dating from the fiist day of February, 1887, anil to be pledged as security for the payment of interest accruing upon tho sum of £1500, borrowed under the piovisions oi! the said 'Government Loins to Local Bodies Act, 188 G. NOTION IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Piako County Council intend, at a meeting of tho said Council to be held nt Hamilton on the 19ih day oi" February next, to confirm the foicgoing resolution. By order.
