THE RE-ORGANISED CABINET.
The composition of the new Cabinet was announced on the evening o! January lGth. Lord Salisbury is Secretary of State for Foreign Affaire; the Eight Hon. R. W« Smith, First Lord of the Treasury; tho Right Hon. G. J. Goschen, Chancellor of the Exchequer; Right Hon. Edward Stanhope, Secretary of State for War; and Sir Henry Holland, Secretary of State forthe Coloniea. There is no change in the other Cabinet officers. The Bari of Iddoaleigh repulsed Lord Salisbury's offur of the Privy Seal. He denied that the condition of his health debarred him from accepting the onerous duties of office, and he withdrew from official Ufa under a Btrong sense of having been ill-. treated. Henry Stafford Northcote, eon of Lord Iddesleigh, reeigned the office ot Surveyor-General of Ordnance.
