SPECIAL ORDER.

11HE following resolution was adopted at a Special Meeting of the Piako County Council held at Hamilton on the 22nd inst. -.—Resolved : " That in accordance with the provisions of ' The Counties Act, 1886,' and of 'The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,' a Special Rate of One Farthing in the £ be levied, by ' Special Order' upon all Rateable Property within the Te Aroha Riding, exclusive of Crown and Native Lands, such rate to be an annually recurring rate payable upon the 28th day of March in each year for twenty-six years, dating from the first day of February, 1887, and to be pledged as security for the payment o£ interest accruing upon the sum of £1500, borrowed under the provisions of the said ' Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886. NOTICK IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Piako County Council intend, at a meeting of the said Council to be held at Hamilton on the 19th day of February next, to confirm the foregoing resolution. By order.
