A Western Romance. A Youth's Industry Made to Tell in an Unexpected Manner.

*' There goes a young man who has a romance," remarked a well-known citizen of St. Paul to a reporter, as he looked through the window, as a young man of perhaps 25 passed up Fiist Avenue, a remarkably handsome lady leaning on Mb arm. "Tell you about it? Certainly; only I won't give you the names of the parties, for if I did you would print it, and nearly every one in the city would recognise in the couple two well-known Minneapolis people. " Some years ago the young man worked in one of the big mills, and was looked upon as a good man in his position. One day a party of ladies visited the mill, among them the lady you saw with him. While looking at the different things around the mill this young lady dropped from her finger into a lot of wheat which was being stored a valuable diamond ring which had been presented to her by her mother, who had died some years before. "Of course, the young lady was nearly heart-broken, and refused to be comforted by her friends.
