The French Navy.
The naval arßen/Us of Brest, Rocheiort, and Toulop, are having a busy time at the present moment (December. ) Instructions have been received at,the two former ports to prepare for laying down the keels of two steel-built first-class cruisers, to be provided with barbette turrets. Their length ia to be about 355 feet, by 42 feet beam, with a draft of 17 feet aft, whilst their gross measurement is to be reckoned at 4,160 tons. The veeselB — named the Dupuy de Lome at Brest, and the Jean Bart at Rochetort— are to bo each armed with four 16-centimetre (3*l-1 0 inch) guns ; six gune of nearly 3-inoh ten revolver-cannon, and four torpedo tube 5 ? They are estimated to attain a speed of 19 knots.
