The Trade 3 and Labour Council rejected by a large majority a motion proposed by ite Secretary approving of an exhibition to be held in ISSS. Melbourne, December 2.— The a. a. South Australian, which arrived to-day, from Adelaide, brought one hundred returned diggers from Teetulpa goldfields. Adelaide, December 2. — The bank at Teetulpa has purchased 300ozs. of gold from diggers in the neighbourhood since Monday last. Water i 3 reported to be very scarce '«n the goJdfield. Sydney. December 2 —Latest reports from Kimberley state that a payable goldfield ha? not yet been discovered. Hitherto only prospecting has been carded on. Diggers continue to arrive at Derby and Cambridge Gulf from the goldfield, pome of them bringing a fair amount of gold. The diggers are in good health. Business at Derby and Cambridge f J ulf is dull. Sydney, December 6. — The steamer Corangamite, while on a voyage from this port to Melbourne, ran a&hore at Jervis Bay, where she now lies making a groat deal of water. The crew and passengere have alt eady left her, several of them proceeding to Alladala.
