NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS, TE AROHA RIDING.

THE Piako County Council propose, under the provision of " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to Borrow, by way of Special Loan, a sum of Money for the purpose of undertaking certain Public Works within Te Te Aroha Riding ; and this notice is given in accordance with Sec. 140 of "The Counties Act, 1876." 1. The particular works proposed to be undertaken — Making and Completing the Road from the northern to the southern boundary of the Te Aroha Riding, being the main Te Aroha-Shaftesbury and Gordon Sptcial Settlement Road; also, a portion of Bridge Street near the Railway Station, Te Aroha, and the Cross Road from Murphy's Landing on the W aihou River, through Wilson's Section and the Wniorongomai Township, to KiJgour Street, Waiorongotnai. 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purposes is £1500. 3. It is proposed to pledge as security for such Loan a " Special Rate'" of One Farthing in the £, upon all Rateable Property within Te Aroha Riding, such Rate to be an annually recurring Rate; and to j be payable every year for a i period of twenty-six years.
