CORRESPONDENCE,

Under iio circumstance is the Editor responsible for the matter contained in correspondence.

TE ABOHA CEMETERY.

(to the editor.) •* Sin. — It surprises me that; at the meeting hold lately, at ...which the present* condition of the Cemetery was considered, it did no^ seem io occur ta any 6ne, that, from the exceedingly inconvenient position of the present burial ground relative to Te Arolia and Waiordngoillai, it wduid bo wiser to endeavour to procure a piece of ground for burial purposes between these two townships, than to expend money on that now in use to the great inconvenience of all resident oil this side of the river. As at present, it is a sacrifice of time to duty and good feeling for the miners on the hill to have to devote a whole day to testify their good will to the departed, by having to procure a conveyance at possibly consi erable expense, and lose a whole days' wages, while, were the Cemetery more centrally situated, there need be no more than an afternoon lost, and an attendance on foot. Can steps not be taken to obtain sufficient ground, on some part of Ihe High Scheol Xleserve, which, it seems to me, might be more practicable now than hereafter, — I am, etc. One who was not at the Meeting. Waiorongomai, Nov 22nd 1886.
