Anarchists in Vienna. Repressive Measures by the Austrian Police.

The " Worlds Vienna special ?ayf> : The police continue to make frequent ar re<?t« of anarchists, though they f-till withhold much information concerning their plotd from the press. Among tho ancyta made today were five bogus policemen. Tbe officials found in their pospesdon complete uniforms with Heals and necessary papers for issuing official documents and for forging signatures. The plot has been found to extend over a number of towns, and the authorities of Franktoi t, Munich, and Hamburg have been warned. The most vigorous repressive meaauic3 have been generally taken againsb ttociali*frB, and news has just reached here from Ltsipsic that many members of the Cabinetmakers' Guild have been arrested, and that Mehnert, leader of the tinsmiths' strike, has just been sentenced to five months' impridonment. Schnurer, editor of the Amburger " VoUcp Zeitung," has been sentenced to two years' imprisonment for publishing an insulting article about the Ministry. The Dresden Socialist Deputy Geuer has been fined for carrying a rod umbrella, and the police of Saxony have even forbidden the wearing of red ribbons or red boujfconnieres.
