Melbourne, November S. —A jockey named Cree was thrown from. hiß horee, while riding in the Steeplechase, at Fleraington, on Saturday last. Hie injuries ' have proved of co serious a nature that he is not expected to recover. The bnique Kentich Lass has arrived at Melbourne, bringing forty-one disappointed diggers from the Kimberley gold fields. She will leave for Wellington to-morrow.
