Socialist Trouble in London.
'London, October 19. The Chief of the Metropolitan Police haa written to the promoters of the projected . Socialist demonstration on the occasion of the Lord Mayor's Show, 6n the *'9tti prox;, ' stating that the proposed procession will provoke gross disorder, and probably endanger life. The authorities, he says, will hold the Socialists responsible fcr any consequences resulting from the projected proceeeion.
