Sales for the week ending Sept. 18 were larfer than tor many weeks preceding. 800 bales of Australian sold at a Rood profit for shipment, making a total of Australian wool ■old in Boston market to go to London some 8.100 bales, making a remarkable reduction in •tooks of Australian wool in the American markets. The reduction was entirely unexpected. Justin McCarthy waf bananeted at New York, and Michael Daritt .was stumping Cafeei!he International yacht race, between the English yacht Galatea and American Mayflower WMWon by the latter. The Mayflower outsailed her riral from the commencement, and won by 31 minutes.
