OHINEMURI. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Paeroa, Friday. PAEROA POLICE COURT.— TUESDAY. (Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., R.M.)
Drunkenness — Sarah Hunia was charged with being- drunk and disorderly in Oassrells street, Paeroa, on the 16 bh inst. Fined £3, and 9s costs. Breach of the Licensing Act, &c. — Police v. Tamara Takuna : Charged with supplying liquor to one Sarah Hunia with the full knowledge that the said Sarah Hunia was a prohibited person. Several persons gave eridenco in support of the charge which was proved, and defendant fined £3 and 21? cost?, or in default 2L days' imprisonment. H.M. COURT.— THURSDAY. James Hosie v. T. Hall : Claim £3 4s 8d goods supplied. Adjourned till next Court day for proof of service of 5 u mm on 8. Same v. Woods : Claim £3 6s 4d. Struck out. James Rose v. Woodstock G.M. Company: Olaim £18 16s for wages due. Struck out, money paid into Court. J. M. Robson v. Herekehna : Claim £13 15s 4d, being amount of judgment summons. Ordered that amount with costs 31st be paid in monthly instalments of £2, or in default one month's imprisonment in Hiortlund Gaol. A. Shepherd v. J. H. Walsh : Claim £4 3Sj goods supplied. Settled out of Court. Phillips and Son v. Kenihvorth Company : Claim £1G 17s, goods supplied. Judgment for plaintiffs by default with costs. A. Hogg v. A. Shepherd : Claim £12 Is 10s. Judgment for plaintiff for £9 17s lOd and costs. Quite a number of cases weie settled out of Court.
