Champion Lodes, Tui.— The quantity of oro from these claims despatched by train to Auckland on Saturday last was 52 tens 16cwt, which has been shipped on board the N.Z.S. Oo.'s Waitangi, which is now loading for London direct.
WAIORONGOMAI. New Find. — Work is progressing in ! this mine much as usual. ; Colonist. — Some half-dozen men are now at work in this claim, and the dirt has improved in quality of late. Hopeful. — Seven bags of quartz from this mine were this week forwarded to Auckland for treatment at the Stanley street plant of Mr Geo. Fraser. SUCCESS. — As work proceeds in this ground it is satisfactory to find fie g-old still going 1 clown. Another crushing is being biokon out, upon which the battery will probably make a start next week.
