Wo may hero stato that the discovery oE I this entirely new reef is partly a result of tho prospecting track recently made by the Pinko County Council, as it is from this track it is being worked, along 1 this (rack tho quaitz is, sledged, and in fact tho reef was Gist touched during the formation of tho track, although it did not at the time attract attention. The reef now opened up in the AHiiKC is from 2ft Gin to Oft, carrying- gold from wall to wall, and apparently as rich as what has already been taken out. This week 2 truck loads and about uOlb picked stone have been ciushed at Firth and Clarkes U.ittery, and (he cle;;n up which look place last nii>ht lesulted in the very excellent retuin of GOoz hard scpeezed amalgam. The gold obtained f'tom u similar parcel crushed a few weeks since realised £3 per oz. Extra hands will bo put on as fast as the mine becomes opened up.
