The u^ual monthly letoit will take place on Monday next. Nkw I(] ha.--Several alterations and iiupiovHiients lor the better treatment; of low grade quartz arc being effected at this battery, agitators eiectcd, etc. The result of the treatment of test parcels of quartz sent to -Mr Eraser's plant in Stanley street, Auckland, has not been made known here yet, but Mr Eraser himself is daily expected. It is probable a fresh start will be made next week to treat quartz.
